The starting of our cancer journey - Ka's message to our friends

One has recently said to me, if something is important, document it. Since Ka is the main character, let me spotlight him.

This is what Ka sent to our friends, starting on Tuesday:

"Hi Friends"

"Just some news to share with you."

"I am diagnosed with cancer"

"Pancreatic adenocarchinoma"

"Some time early March, I notice dark (very) color urine. Book to see family doc, blood work, show high liver enzyme in blood. Do ultrasound, it found something is blocking the bile duct (this connect liver, glabladder, pancreas to small intestines) 2nd round blood work, still high bile in blood. Book MRI (early May!), refer to specialist (never heard back) meanwhile, I am very low in energy level, often sleep 12 hrs a day. (Normal is 7 for me) it got worse about a week ago, my energy level dropped even lower. Corrie found that Sunnybrook has a virtual ER, where you book online and a doc will do a zoom call with you. (Highly recommend! Reduce risk of going to ER) did that on Friday 8pm. The doc said, if vomit, blood in poo or pain is worsen, then I should go to ER in person, and suggest that I go to sunnybrook as they would have my record already. Saturday, the pain (not a lot, more like discomfort) did get a bit worse, and I almost vomit. So we decided to go to ER on Sunday morning. Yesterday, check in ER, end up did a CT scan, the report confirmed pancreatic cancer."
